Who We Are
Established in March 2009, Twidale Auto & Motorcycles is a family-owned and operated business by Ben and Mel Twidale.
Ben, originally from Texas, spent most of his childhood in the North Star area before moving to Goondiwindi in his teens. Mel was born and raised in Goondiwindi. Both Ben and Mel are deeply passionate about their hometown and the surrounding districts. They actively support the community by sponsoring individuals, schools, sporting groups, non-profit organizations, and local events. Mel, Ben and the team at Twidale’s also participate in numerous community events, including local job expos and Goondiwindi Chamber of Commerce monthly events.

| 2014 | Welcomed our first motorcycle franchise, Suzuki, marking the beginning of our business plan to incorporate bike sales, service, and accessories. |
| 2014 | Opened our first new floor space. |
| 2015 | Welcomed Kawasaki as our second motorcycle franchise, fulfilling the need for a diverse range of products. |
| 2019 | Celebrated 10 years of business. |
| 2021 | Expanded our services to include power tools and lawn care and welcomed Bushranger as our franchise provider, filling the community’s need for a second option. |
| 2022 | Welcomed Yamaha as our third motorcycle franchise, maintaining our focus on Japanese brands. |
| 2024 | Opened our second floor to accommodate our growing business and ensure our equipment remains in pristine condition for sale. |
| Twidale’s currently has 14 devoted employees and are proud to be the Goondiwindi Region’s ONE STOP SMALL MOTOR SHOP. | |
